Tarumi Helps Rocketeers Defeat Shredders, 7-1
|
Mutsuhito Tarumi made an impact in the 7-1 MSL Seattle win over MSL Hollywood. Tarumi, who is rated as the 66th best prospect by BNN, was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Miguel Arroyo earned the win to go to 2-2. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, with 4 walks and 7 strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work. MSL Seattle is now 8-7. MSL Hollywood is 8-7.
The Rocketeers got a big at-bat from right fielder José Aguilar, who in the top of the third hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Rocketeers on top, 3-0.
Said losing manager Ricardo López: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
