Flamingos Sneak By Lakers, 4-3
|
Mike Bailie, who leads the SL in complete games with 2, had a strong outing for the Las Vegas Flamingos against the Echo Park Lakers at The Strip. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Las Vegas reliever Kenny Busby was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Conor March took the loss. David Luna closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Richard Clift came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Echo Park pitcher Conor March, he hit a 1-2 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Las Vegas on top, 4-3.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Bailie.
Las Vegas is now 23-32. Echo Park is 30-25.
