MSL Toronto starter Carlos López pitched well against the MSL Boston Patriots at MSL Thunder Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. López got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Hirokichi Kato picked up the save for MSL Toronto, his 6th of the year.

MSL Toronto took the lead, 6-0, on Kasper Rook's 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off MSL Boston pitcher Roberto Trujillo in the bottom of the seventh.

"Carlos did a heck of a job," said MSL Toronto manager Jake Grant.

The 7th-place Thunder hiked their record to 8-11.
