Gagg Excels, But Rainbow Mermaids Win
MSL Buffalo got a terrific game from first baseman Steven Gagg. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to MSL Northern Virginia, 13-9. Gagg was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. MSL Northern Virginia reliever Mikko Salmi snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Pedro Duarte shouldered the loss. The Rainbow Mermaids have now won 6 straight.

MSL Northern Virginia used the hitting of Victorino Ganchas to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 7-0. For the game, Ganchas had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We've got a great group of guys," Ganchas said, "and we're having fun right now."
