Shredders Saddle Lighthouse with 4-1 Loss
|
Curt Case, who is tied for 5th in the PMSL with a 1.18 WHIP, never let the Lighthouse get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Shredders to a win, 4-1. Héctor Navarro earned the save, his 1st, for the Shredders. The 9th-place Shredders go to 8-12.
Remke Schop dealt the Lighthouse a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and MSL Hollywood leading 1-0, Schop, who is tied for 9th in the PMSL in RBI with 16, hit a 1-0 cutter for a run-scoring single.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Case said.
