Mendoza Excels, But Voodoo Win
Though he had a terrific game, Tony Mendoza could not prevent his team, the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves, from absorbing a loss. MSL New Orleans won the game, 5-3. Mendoza hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Voodoo, at 17-6, have now won 4 straight.

Tony Taylor, who is tied for 9th in the PMSL in RBI with 18, took MSL Vancouver hurler Juan Ibarra deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Voodoo on top, 3-0. In all, Taylor had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said MSL New Orleans manager Kevin Hancock.
