Extra-Inning Win by Stingers Over Rocketeers
|
The MSL Toledo Stingers stopped the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 4-3, at MSL Toledo Ballpark. The Stingers got a big game from Oliver Lock, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. MSL Toledo reliever Cisco Colomo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Brian Barry was saddled with the loss. This loss makes it 6 in a row for MSL Seattle.
Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 18-year old third baseman Anastasio Lugo had a chance to be the hero. MSL Seattle pitcher Brian Barry wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Lugo drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Stingers had themselves a thrilling win.
In postgame remarks, Lugo simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
