Rainbow Mermaids Rally For 6-4 Win
MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids starter Carlos González pitched well against the MSL New Orleans Voodoo at MSL New Orleans Ballpark, leading his team to a win, 6-4. The winner was González. He threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Dali El Khalej. Pedro Rocha closed the game out for MSL Northern Virginia, earning his 3rd save.

MSL Northern Virginia used the timely hitting of Kenshin Higashi to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Carlos gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said MSL Northern Virginia manager Donald White.

The Rainbow Mermaids win now puts them at 16-8.
