Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Voodoo
|
The MSL New Orleans Voodoo defeated the MSL Boston Patriots, 5-4, in 10 innings. Much of the credit belonged to left fielder David Forest, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Voodoo. The win belonged to Stu Spiker in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Bao-tian Ku took the loss for MSL Boston. Today's win puts MSL New Orleans at 13-11, while MSL Boston falls to 16-8.
The Voodoo got a clutch hit from shortstop Stefan Lundgren. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Voodoo.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Lundgren said.
