Big Day with Bat: Matthews 5-for-6
The MSL New Orleans Voodoo stopped the MSL Hollywood Shredders by a score of 11-6 at MSL Hollywood Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Bill Matthews. The 19-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Matthews said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Matthews did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Shredders.

"Not much that I can say," offered MSL Hollywood manager Andrés Gonzáles. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Bill Matthews grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Ik-jun Park in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Shi-min Sun in the 9th.

Currently Matthews is batting .364 with 9 home runs, 22 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
