Stingers Zap Voodoo, 5-2

The MSL New Orleans Voodoo and MSL Toledo Stingers delighted fans at MSL Toledo Ballpark.
The MSL Toledo Stingers overcame a good performance by MSL New Orleans center fielder William Kirby to knock off MSL New Orleans, 5-2, at MSL Toledo Ballpark. Kirby was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. José Rodríguez finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
The Stingers got a big at-bat from first baseman Onfrio Genovese. For the game, Genovese was 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave MSL Toledo a 1-0 lead.
"We did a lot of things right," said Genovese.
The last-place Stingers own a record of 5-20.
