Shredders Dealt 9-2 Loss
No one was more impactful than Pedro Gómez in the 9-2 MSL New Orleans win over MSL Hollywood. Gómez, who is tied for 3rd in the PMSL in RBI with 26, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Fernando Escalante picked up the win, lifting his record to 7-0 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 1 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. At 19-7, the Voodoo have a slim two-game lead in the PL MSL.

Luis Castillo had a big hit for MSL New Orleans in the top of the ninth inning. With MSL New Orleans leading 5-2, Castillo hit a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Voodoo up, 9-2.

"We put our best foot forward tonight," said a smiling Gómez.
