The MSL Detroit Elite, behind a great outing from Otojiro Kozawa, who is tied for 4th in the PMSL with a 2.04 ERA, defeated the MSL Boston Patriots, 2-1, at MSL Boston Ballpark. Kozawa got the win, improving to 6-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Elite record stands at 12-14.

MSL Detroit used a clutch hit from Billy Douglas to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Elite ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We found a way to get it done," Douglas said.
