MSL New Orleans Loses, 5-4, to MSL Toledo in 10
|
The outcome was not decided until the very end at MSL Toledo Ballpark.
In a tight contest at MSL Toledo Ballpark, the MSL Toledo Stingers edged the MSL New Orleans Voodoo by the score of 5-4 in 10 innings. MSL Toledo shortstop Bruce George, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. MSL Toledo reliever Tade van Aaken was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Gerard Johnson.
The Stingers nabbed the win, in part because of center fielder Juan Alicea. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said MSL Toledo manager José Pinto.
The 6th-place Voodoo dropped to 13-13.
