Rainbow Mermaids Win with Late Rally
|
MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids starter Carlos González was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons, 4-3, in 10 innings. The Rainbow Mermaids, now 13-14, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.
MSL Northern Virginia used the hitting of Arnold Jenkins to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 4-3. For the game, Jenkins had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I felt like I had pretty good command of mostly everything," said González.
