Chittoor, Voodoo Serve Up 9-4 Win
The MSL New Orleans Voodoo licked the MSL Toledo Stingers, 9-4. Jyotibhasin Chittoor deserved a big chunk of the credit. The second baseman was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Voodoo. Neel Wagenmakers earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The win for the Voodoo raised their record to 14-13.

MSL New Orleans left fielder Ryan Short contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put the Voodoo ahead, 5-2.

Short was taciturn after the game. "A win's a win," he said.
