Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the MSL Toledo Stingers and the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids. MSL Toledo won it, 1-0. MSL Toledo starter Kiyonaga Kondo was in command. MSL Toledo has an impressive 23-5 record.

The Stingers got a clutch hit from first baseman Kyushichi Suzuki. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Stingers.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Kondo. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
