Rainbow Mermaids Victorious at MSL Toledo, 4-1
The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids beat the MSL Toledo Stingers, 4-1. MSL Northern Virginia pitcher and San Pedro Sula, Honduras, native Daniel Cruz led the way. Cruz got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. MSL Northern Virginia goes to 20-11, MSL Toledo to 13-18.

The Rainbow Mermaids got a big at-bat from shortstop Rubén Rivera. For the game, Rivera went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave MSL Northern Virginia a 2-1 lead.
