Rainbow Mermaids Dump MSL Hollywood, 13-0, to Win 4th in a Row
At the rate they were hitting, the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids hardly needed a gem from their starting pitcher. They got one anyway, pulling away from the MSL Hollywood Shredders in the 13-0 victory. Boudewijn Vervoort played a major role in the MSL Northern Virginia win. Vervoort picked up the win for MSL Northern Virginia, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. MSL Northern Virginia has now won 4 straight.

The Rainbow Mermaids got a big hit from catcher Manchu Foong. Facing MSL Hollywood pitcher Ji-man Park in the bottom of the seventh, Foong pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 4th home run of the season put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 12-0.

"We can't expect to win," said MSL Hollywood manager Andrés Gonzáles, "with that kind of performance."
