Tight Tilt Goes to Shredders, 3-2
|
MSL Baltimore got a terrific game from designated hitter Reggie Aarsen. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to MSL Hollywood, 3-2. Aarsen was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. The winning pitcher was 18-year old left-handed pitcher Clint Ellis. He tossed 102 pitches over 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. Bob Morton closed out the game, earning his 5th save.
Cakravata Tamhane came through with a big-time hit for MSL Hollywood. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Tamhane told the MSL Hollywood Chronicle.
MSL Hollywood is now 18-13. MSL Baltimore is 22-9.
