White Walkers Shut Out Voodoo, 5-0
|
MSL Buffalo pitcher Jeff LaPierre had a large part in his team subduing the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, 5-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The winner was LaPierre. He threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Augusto Gómez. MSL Buffalo is now 18-14, MSL New Orleans 22-10.
Bang-eun Yi had a big 2-run home run for the White Walkers in the bottom of the second inning. With MSL Buffalo leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 17-year old right-handed pitcher Augusto Gómez and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the White Walkers on top, 3-0.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Yi.
