Lew Belts Bunch of Base Hits
A jubilant Dane Lew joined the postgame press conference at MSL Baltimore Ballpark to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the MSL Hollywood Shredders pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the MSL Baltimore Bullets shortstop, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 11-3 Bullets win.

"He made it look easy," said Ricardo López, manager of the Shredders. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Dane Lew singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sung-heun Kim in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Sung-heun Kim in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Héctor Serrano in the 8th.

A look at his current stats shows Lew with a .375 average, 12 home runs, 20 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has played in 26 games.
