Genovese Lifts Stingers to 6-3 Triumph
|
The MSL Toledo Stingers saddled the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons with a loss at MSL Toledo Ballpark. The final score was 6-3. Onfrio Genovese was 3 for 4, including 1 single and 2 home runs. The MSL Toledo first baseman scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win was credited to 18-year old left-handed pitcher José García in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Victor Soto took the loss. MSL Toledo, with the win, climbs to 8-25.
With one out in the bottom of the fifth, Gabriel Bustamante put MSL Toledo in front, 3-2, with a run-scoring single. The Stingers went on to win the ballgame.
"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Bustamante told the MSL Toledo Daily News.
