Liberty Take Down Thunder, 4-3

MSL Toronto third baseman Jorge Cruz had a good game, even if his team did not. The Thunder dropped a 4-3 decision to MSL Philadelphia at MSL Liberty Ballpark. Cruz was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Liberty have won 4 in a row.
Akio Ohayashi found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing MSL Toronto hurler Ramón Suárez, the 18-year-old right fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 11th RBI of the season put the Liberty on top, 4-3.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said MSL Toronto manager Jake Grant. "But we decided not to take it."
