Rainbow Mermaids Go Down to Defeat, 6-1
|
MSL Boston pitcher Luther Kolijn had a large part in his team subduing the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Roberto Trujillo earned the save, his 2nd. With the win over MSL Northern Virginia, the Patriots improved to 17-19.
MSL Boston used the hitting of Miguel Moreno to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Patriots on top, 4-1. For the game, Moreno had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I thought we were prepared," MSL Northern Virginia manager Donald White said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
