MSL Athletic Club KC center fielder Lorenzo Rúbio pounded MSL Boston Patriots pitchers at MSL ACKC Ballpark, but it was not enough to keep the U-18 from falling, 8-6. Rúbio hit 2 home runs. Hsin-ta Yu picked up the save, his 1st. The Patriots now have a mark of 17-21.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Andrés López? The MSL Boston left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Patriots on top, 8-4. For the game, López had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It wasn't our best performance," said López, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
