Blue Demons Lose Again, 3-1, to Rainbow Mermaids
|
The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids went home winners at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Marcos Rodríguez. Rodríguez stifled the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons, enabling MSL Northern Virginia to grab the 3-1 win. Michael Elkins got the save, the 13th for him this season. The losses continue to pile up for MSL Mexico City, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
Pedro Rosa dealt the Blue Demons a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and MSL Northern Virginia trailing 1-0, Rosa, who leads the PMSL in stolen bases with 10, hit a 3-1 cutter for a 2-run single.
"I executed the game plan," said Rodríguez.
