Rainbow Mermaids Earn 1-0 Home Win
The MSL New Orleans Voodoo got a superb performance from pitcher Hye-min Ch'oe. Still, it wasn't enough to beat MSL Northern Virginia. The Rainbow Mermaids won the game, 1-0. Ch'oe threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. MSL Northern Virginia raised its record to 24-16 with the win.

MSL Northern Virginia designated hitter José Ventura contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 1-0.

"Bottom line," said MSL New Orleans skipper Bill Richmond, "we didn't play well enough to win."
