Voodoo Get Hard-Earned Win
Behind a solid performance from catcher Chad Clayton, the MSL New Orleans Voodoo defeated the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 7-6. Clayton was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Voodoo. The winner was MSL New Orleans reliever Alard Elst, now 5-3. The loser was Iván Espinoza. MSL New Orleans has 3 straight wins, MSL Long Island 3 straight losses.

The decisive blow was delivered by Francisco Rivera in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 17-year old right-handed pitcher Iván Espinoza to win the game for MSL New Orleans. The home crowd went nuts.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Clayton.
