MSL Toledo Loses Again, 5-2
|
The MSL Baltimore Bullets topped the MSL Toledo Stingers, 5-2, with youngster Manuel Martínez playing a key role. Martínez was 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Bullets in the win. Mike Sherman earned the save for MSL Baltimore, his 2nd. The losing skid has reached 8 games for MSL Toledo.
Jeff Elliott cracked a home run off Lars Ketting in the top of the first. His 2-run blast put the Bullets on top, 2-0. In all, Elliott had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"Other than the game," said Martínez, "we haven't won anything yet."
