No one was more impactful than Hyun-hi Kwon in the 5-2 MSL Colorado win over MSL Toronto. Kwon, who leads the PMSL in stolen bases with 8, was 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The winning pitcher was 18-year old right-handed pitcher José Valdéz. He tossed 101 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. Arnaldo Ochoa got the save, the 11th for him this season.
In the bottom of the third inning, catcher Luis Castro had a run-scoring double for MSL Colorado. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Billy Goats on top, 1-0.
MSL Colorado manager Richard Haigh was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
With the win, MSL Colorado has a record of 22-19. MSL Toronto falls to 20-21.
