Rainbow Mermaids Lose, 3-1, at MSL Hollywood Ballpark
|
Starting pitcher Husam Rahman gave the MSL Hollywood Shredders a rock-solid effort. The Kefar Sava, Israel native helped his team defeat the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 3-1, at MSL Hollywood Ballpark. Picking up the save was Ashley Kearney, his 11th. With this game in the books, MSL Hollywood is 20-22, MSL Northern Virginia 22-20.
The Rainbow Mermaids had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Shredders going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old center fielder Conn Fenemore came to the plate. Fenemore hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch fastball from MSL Northern Virginia hurler Carlos González. It was Fenemore's 4th home run of the year.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Fenemore said.
