Fernando Escalante, who leads the PMSL in wins with 11, was locked in. The left-hander led the MSL New Orleans Voodoo to a 3-2 win against the MSL Boston Patriots at MSL Boston Ballpark. Mike Butler got credit for the save for MSL New Orleans. It was his 12th of the year. MSL New Orleans is now 30-13, 4½ games up in the PL MSL.

The Patriots had few good swings against Escalante, the left-hander, who threw 97 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 4 hits.

Escalante attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
