The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Daniel Cruz, allowing them to shoot down the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 4-0. The win puts MSL Northern Virginia at 23-20 this season.
MSL Northern Virginia starter Daniel Cruz pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-3 right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.
"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Cruz.
