MSL Baltimore catcher Albert Hernández played a vital role in his team's 9-4 conquest of MSL Northern Virginia. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for MSL Baltimore. Fernando García got the win, improving to 7-2. He held the Rainbow Mermaids to 2 runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 2. At 33-11, the Bullets have a slim two-game lead in the PL MSL.

Hernández made an early impact for MSL Baltimore when he stroked his 8th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Bullets on top, 7-0.

Hernández said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
