Extra-Inning Win by Shredders Over Voodoo
|
The MSL Hollywood Shredders finished things off in style.
The MSL Hollywood Shredders racked up a win at MSL Hollywood Ballpark, bumping off the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, 4-3, in 13 innings. Sung-heun Kim, who started for MSL Hollywood, pitched effectively for his team. Bob Morton earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4 innings. He upped his record to 2-0.
The Shredders got a clutch hit from catcher Gerold Verkuyl. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Shredders.
In postgame remarks, Verkuyl said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
The Shredders, at 26-18, sit in third place in the PL MSL.
