Big Day for Medina in 6-3 Cattlemen Win
|
José Medina was a vital contributor to the 6-3 MSL Ft. Worth victory over MSL Long Island. The Cattlemen left fielder went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Luis Amador, the winner, is now 6-4. He struck out 4 and walked 4 over 6 innings, while allowing 1 run on 2 hits. Joe Jenkins got credit for the save for MSL Ft. Worth. It was his 18th of the year.
The Cattlemen got an important contribution from first baseman Ramón Pérez, who in the bottom of the first knocked a 1-0 cutter to left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Cattlemen ahead, 2-0.
"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Medina.
MSL Ft. Worth leads the PL MSL by 2 games.
