White Walkers Beat Patriots, 6-4
|
The performance of Jing-sheng Siu proved critical in helping MSL Buffalo beat MSL Boston, 6-4. The White Walkers third baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Finlay Midwinter, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-1. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 2 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 4. Bob Hampton was credited with the save for MSL Buffalo, his 13th of the season.
Making an impact for the home team was Gerald Bolam. In the bottom of the sixth, the 18-year old first baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-2, White Walkers.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Siu told the MSL Buffalo Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
The White Walkers raised their record to 28-16.
