Thunder Improve to 24-21 with 3-2 Win
|
The MSL Toronto Thunder and MSL Toledo Stingers played an entertaining game for MSL Thunder Ballpark patrons.
The MSL Toronto Thunder eked out a 3-2 win versus the MSL Toledo Stingers at MSL Thunder Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Gabor Boerboom. He was terrific. Boerboom picked up the win for MSL Toronto, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. Hirokichi Kato recorded the save for MSL Toronto, his 5th of the season.
Henry Owen, who is tied for 4th in the PMSL with a .327 batting average, contributed to the MSL Toronto win with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Boerboom.
The Thunder now have a record of 24-21 with the win over MSL Toledo.
