MSL Seattle Tumbles Again, Falls, 4-1, to MSL Northern Virginia
|
The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids picked up a win at MSL Seattle Ballpark, taking down the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Marcos Rodríguez was a big reason why. Rodríguez, now 5-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Michael Elkins picked up his 15th save of the season.
Manchu Foong had a direct impact on the outcome. Foong contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put MSL Northern Virginia up, 3-1.
"Marcos is a gamer," said MSL Northern Virginia manager Leslie Brooks.
The Rainbow Mermaids now have a mark of 29-16.
