Walk-Off Seals 28th Victory for Rainbow Mermaids
The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids powered past the MSL Hollywood Shredders, 10-6, at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark. Leonardo Vázquez provided some of the pop. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Ray Berard was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Andrew Brajak. The second-place Shredders dropped to 28-18.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Vázquez hit a cutter from Andrew Brajak for a grand slam home run. The Rainbow Mermaids, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It never gets old," said Vázquez. "Winning, that is."
