The MSL Boston Patriots picked up a win at MSL Boston Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Toronto Thunder, 5-1. On the mound for MSL Boston was right-hander Carlos Luna. He played a key role in the triumph. MSL Boston reliever Hisamitsu Aoki picked up the win, upping his record to 2-4. Jayaratha Pundari absorbed the loss. The Patriots win now puts them at 22-24.

MSL Boston took a 3-1 lead on Bogdan Ernst's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Ernst hit in the bottom of the eighth, left MSL Toronto pitcher Joe Derby visibly frustrated.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Luna said.
