Blue Demons Take Home 4-2 Win Over MSL New Orleans
|
Starting pitcher Reggie Franks was a major factor in the 4-2 MSL Mexico City Blue Demons triumph over the MSL New Orleans Voodoo. Franks picked up the win for MSL Mexico City, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-5. Norberto Chapa, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.
MSL Mexico City used a well-timed hit by Tim Witney to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Demons ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager Bill Richmond.
The Voodoo, at 23-23, have lost 7 straight games.
