Shredders Stay Hot, Beat Flamingos, 4-3
Bart Blenkiron, who is tied for 8th in the PMSL in saves with 4, had a strong outing for the MSL Hollywood Shredders against the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Blenkiron, now 4-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no runs. George Ringo earned the save for MSL Hollywood, his 3rd of the year.

Steven Butterell had a big 2-run home run for the Shredders in the top of the fifth inning. With MSL Hollywood leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 17-year old left-handed pitcher Shinji Shimada and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Shredders on top, 3-0.

"We're in some kind of groove right now," said Butterell.

The Shredders, at 23-24, have now won 8 straight.
