Cattlemen Get Hard-Earned Win
|
Jean-Jacques Grimaud, who is tied for 9th in the PMSL in wins with 5, propelled his team to victory over the MSL New Orleans Voodoo. The final score was 5-4, MSL Ft. Worth. Kicham Sassi claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 4-0. With the win over MSL New Orleans, the Cattlemen improved to 31-17.
Adan Calvinho went 1 for 3 with 2 walks for MSL Ft. Worth. With two out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Calvinho, who is tied for 2nd in the PMSL in home runs with 15, had a clutch at-bat. Facing MSL New Orleans hurler Alard Elst, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Cattlemen a 5-4 lead.
"We ground out the win," said Calvinho. "That's all that matters."
