In a low-scoring contest, MSL Las Vegas pitcher José García was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. The setback makes MSL Hollywood 23-25.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the sixth inning when the Flamingos sent teenager Dewitt Kennedy to the plate against Shredders hurler Sidney van Campen. With a runner on 1st and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a triple off a 1-0 fastball to score 1.

"José is a tough competitor," said MSL Las Vegas manager Ernest Orr.
