Voodoo Even Record with 5-2 Victory

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 16-year old center fielder Jorge Rojas, the MSL New Orleans Voodoo stopped the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons, 5-2, in 9 innings. Yuan Chia, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 6-4. Jason Carroll earned save number 6 this season.
Center Fielder William Kirby made an impact for MSL New Orleans, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Victor Soto in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Kirby went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Kirby said after the game.
With the win, MSL New Orleans has a record of 24-24. MSL Mexico City falls to 21-27.
