MSL Northern Virginia Hot Streak Continues with 7-5 Win
Marcos Rodríguez was locked in. The left-hander led the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids to a 7-5 win against the MSL Buffalo White Walkers at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark. MSL Northern Virginia reliever Alonso Guerrero picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ryuichi Agano was saddled with the loss. Michael Elkins earned the save for MSL Northern Virginia, his 17th of the year.

Francisco Soto hit a 2-run double off Ryuichi Agano in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Rainbow Mermaids in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Soto had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.

"Everything seems to be clicking right now for us, top to bottom," said MSL Northern Virginia manager Leslie Brooks.

At 32-16, the Rainbow Mermaids find themselves in second place in the PL MSL.
