MSL Nova Scotia Gets 9-6 Win
The 2061 season did not get off to quite the start the MSL D.C. Divided had hoped, with an opening day loss to the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan at MSL D.C. Ballpark. The final score was 9-6. Left Fielder Budharatna Rekha was the top performer for MSL Nova Scotia. James O'Connor earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Miguel Ortíz recorded the save, his 1st.

MSL Nova Scotia won the game in part because of Manny Rogers. The first baseman ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Leviathan ahead, 4-0. For the game, Rogers had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Rogers said.
