Dirty Reds Lose Late, 10-8
Fans of the MSL St. Louis Coeur who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a MSL St. Louis win over the visiting MSL Dayton Dirty Reds, 10-8. Qi-chao Wang started for the home team against Ricardo Arroyo. Izo Matsumoto earned accolades for his performance. António Rodríguez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. José García suffered the loss.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Jason King came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing MSL Dayton pitcher José García, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting MSL St. Louis on top, 9-8.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said King.
