Ubbens, Bowties March to 5-3 Victory
The MSL Buckhead Bowties began the 2063 season with a convincing 5-3 win over the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at MLB Buckhead Ballpark. Most impressive was MSL Buckhead third baseman Umberto Ubbens, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Reynaldo Hernández. He's now 1-0. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Bowties. Earning his 1st save for MSL Buckhead was Pyeong-chu Ch'oe.

The Bowties got a big at-bat from center fielder Norberto Guerra. For the game, Guerra went 1-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave MSL Buckhead a 4-3 lead.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Ubbens told the MSL Buckhead Daily News.
