Lakers Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The MSL Kingston Township Knights got a sterling performance from pitcher Fred Boman, but the MSL Echo Park Lakers still prevailed, 1-0. Boman threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Wladimir van Munster notched his 1st save of the season. The loss makes MSL Kingston Township 1-1.
MSL Echo Park used a clutch hit from Enrico Ricordi to get the win. The center fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lakers ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
Ricordi called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
