Dirty Reds 3-1 Winners Versus MSL Thunder Bay
|
The MSL Dayton Dirty Reds knocked off the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 3-1, at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. Izo Matsumoto was a big reason MSL Dayton won. The left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. MSL Dayton goes to 2-0.
Matsumoto had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-0 curveball from Tomás González, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Dirty Reds a 3-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Matsumoto.
MSL Dayton manager Owen Kieffer praised his team's "energy."
