The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC stopped the MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes, 8-2, at MSL Cape Coral Ballpark. The Northern Lions BC got a big game from Min-bum Yi, who went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win, MSL Thunder Bay climbs to 1-1.
Yi had a big hit for MSL Thunder Bay with one out in the top of the fourth. With MSL Thunder Bay leading 2-0, Yi hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Northern Lions BC up, 4-0.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said MSL Thunder Bay skipper Jurg Ursin.
