Philadelphia and Ft. Worth duked it out and the Liberty came out victorious.

The Ft. Worth Cattlemen went down to defeat to Al Ivey and his Philadelphia teammates. The final score was 3-2, in favor of the Liberty. Jorge Montoya closed the game out for Philadelphia, earning his 11th save.

Bryan Spilsbury had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for Philadelphia. He came through with a 2-run single to put Philadelphia in front, 3-2.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Philadelphia manager Geoff Matt.

By defeating Ft. Worth, the 5th-place Liberty improved to 30-29.
